CPT Elmore
  • Capt Elmore is the Deputy Commander. He joined Civil Air Patrol in 2014, and with CPT Spangler helped to start the unit. He has previously served as an Aerospace Education Officer and Leadership Officer, and is also serving as the Logistics & Supply Officer. He has a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Colorado Technical University. Hailing from Colorado, CPT Elmore served in the US Army from 1988-1992. He enlisted as a Stinger Missile Gunner (MANDPADS Crewmember/16S10), and served at Ft. Bliss, TX, the DMZ in South Korea, and six months in Saudi Arabia/Iraq as part of Desert Shield/Desert Storm. His awards include the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (1 Bronze OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Service Ribbon, Southwest Asia Service Medal (2 Bronze Stars), Kuwait Liberation Medal (Saudi Arabia), Kuwait Liberation Medal (Kuwait), Valorous Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Award (1 Bronze OLC), Expert Marksmanship Badge (Rifle) and several letters of commendation. He has taught for eleven years in the Marion County Public Schools, first teaching high school math, then middle school science. 
  • 2d Lt Henderson is serving as a Testing Officer. She joined Civil Air Patrol in 2015. 2LT Henderson has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Florida. After graduation she worked with children and youth, owned a small business for five years and raised two boys. She has been employed with Marion County since 2009 as a Support Facilitator with the Exceptional Student Education Department and at North Marion Middle since 2013. 
  • SM Galloway is serving as a Tac Officer. She joined Civil Air Patrol in 2015. SM Galloway was born and raised in Marion County. She attended Sparr Elementary, North Marion Middle and North Marion High School.  She is currently teaching 6th grade Language Arts at North Marion Middle School.  She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Varying Exceptionalities(K-12) and Elementary Education(K-6). She also has a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership(All Levels). SM Galloway has over 15 years teaching experience. 

  • 2d Lt Goodwin is serving as a Testing Officer. She joined Civil Air Patrol in 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exceptional Student Education from Barry University. She has worked at North Marion Middle School since 1997 and currently teaches language arts and social studies to students in grades 6-8 in the self-contained and resource settings.
  • 1st Lt Kissam is serving as the Leadership Officer. He joined Civil Air Patrol in 2015.

  • 2d Lt Landrum is serving as the Fitness Officer. He joined Civil Air Patrol in 2015.
  • 2d Lt Lockley is serving as the unit Professional Development Officer and an Aerospace Education Officer. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Saint Leo University, a Master of Science in Mathematics Education from Florida State University, and a Doctor of Education from the University of Florida. He is also the coach of the North Marion Middle School Math Counts team.

  • 2d Lt Melancon is serving as the unit Historian and Public Affairs Officer. He is also the head coach for the North Marion Middle School Academic Team.  He holds multiple degrees in History from the University of Florida and has been teaching locally at the College of Central Florida and North Marion Middle School for 15 years.  

  • 2d Lt Mobley is serving as the unit Finance Officer. She is also the Assistant Principal at North Marion Middle School. 2LT Mobley graduated from Florida State University (bachelor's) and Nova University (master's). This is her 32nd year in education here in Marion County, with 27 years at Vanguard High School and 5 years at North Marion Middle. 

  • 2d Lt Warren grew up in a U.S. Navy family. She joined the U. S. Army in 1982, attending Basic Training in Ft. Jackson, South Carolina and then went on to Advanced Individual at Training at Ft. Gordon, Georgia as an (72G) AUDODIN Data Telecommunications Center Operator. (Honor Graduate). She served on active duty in Germany and Japan until 1986, then stayed with military in the Army Reserve and Individual Ready Reserve until 1996, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. Military awards include: Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Lapel Button, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct, Sharpshooter with M16 Rifle. Dr. Warren attended Central Florida Community College earning an A.S. degree, then went to college in Melbourne, Florida at the Florida Institute of Technology earning a B.S in General Science Education and a M.S. degree in Environmental Education. She also taught in Melbourne FL at Stone JHS and Eau Gallie H.S. for eight years. Moved back to Marion county, and has been at North Marion since 2000. Went back to college and earned her Educational Doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Warren teaches the gifted science students in the Cambridge program. She was the 2004 North Marion Teacher of the Year. She also has a First degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. Her other hobbies include SCUBA diving, kayaking and farming. Joined the Civil Air Patrol in 2014 as an Aerospace Education Officer.
