The goal of the cadet physical fitness program is to make cadets physically fit and to motivate them to develop a lifelong habit of exercising regularly.

The first method to achieve this goal is to have the units create a fitness program.

The second method is testing the cadets using the Cadet Physical Fitness Test (CPFT).
