Civil Air Patrol’s Lake Composite Squadron Wins and Represents at the Ultimate Cadet Challenge

 

Starke, FL –By Cris Coniglio -  The Civil Air Patrol’s Lake Composite Squadron FL-021 took 3rd place at the Ultimate Cadet Challenge this past weekend. Civil Air Patrol squadrons from across the Florida Wing converged at Camp Blanding to compete in 8 events to win the Ultimate Cadet Challenge.  Some of the competition events included: Land Navigation, Team Endurance Run and Urban Directional Finding.

 

This year, Civil Air Patrol’s Lake Composite Squadron took home 3rd place, with it only being the squadron’s second time entering the Challenge.  The team consisted of Cadet Sr. Airman Julia Lininger, Cadet Sr. Master Sgt. Josh Mando, Cadet Sr. Airman Emily Lininger and Cadet 2nd Lt. Carter Hall with team escort, Senior Member Jeanine Lininger.

 

A good representation of the Lake Composite Squadron members covered other duties and programs at the Ultimate Cadet Challenge as well. Lt. Keven Rausch covered Health Services, Cadet Sr. Airman John Lininger was on kitchen staff. Held at the same location during the Ultimate Cadet Challenge, was the Public Affairs Academy, which was attended by the squadron’s Public Affairs Officer, Senior Member Cris Coniglio.
