AN OPEN LETTER TO:
The Friends and Neighbors of the Seminole Composite Squadron Civil Air Patrol.

The Civil Air Patrol Seminole Composite Squadron is a group of over more than 50  volunteers (your neighbors) who give of their time, talents and personal financial resources in dedication to keeping our community, our state, and our nation safe. Beyond members’ funds and volunteer hours, the Seminole Composite Squadron relies on community donations each year to meet essential annual operating expenses.

The Squadron is probably best known for its extensive cadet program involving 12 to 18 year old youth. At present we have cadets actively participating in classroom and hands on training in aerospace education, emergency services, and moral and ethical leadership. They work through a curriculum that lets them learn how to follow, lead small groups, and eventually, through their own motivation, to be promoted in rank and experience command level leadership. They participate in community service activities. They are also exposed to to the world of aviation through orientation flights in in Civil Air Patrol powered aircraft and gliders. They are challenged to live the the cadet ethic of integrity and to embrace timeless values.

We also train for other special assignments on a regular basis to maintain our mission-ready status. After hurricanes or other disasters, your local CAP Squadron is prepared to work closely with State of Florida and County Emergency Management to provide support missions, damage assessment and photographic sorties. With decades of communications and operational experience, CAP provides effective airborne assets, all manned by mission-ready volunteer personnel who have the capability to work with federal, military, state and local agencies across the spectrum of Homeland Security.

We have always been there to provide service to the community. We need your support to help us continue our important missions. CAP is a 501(c)(3) organization, allowing your donation to be tax deductible. Please consider sending us the most generous donation you can, so that we can continue our mission of Community Service and Training the Future Leaders of our Country.
Thank you.
